Funding Across the Partnership
The organisations delivering Survivors at the Centre operate within a wider funding ecosystem. Across the partnership, specialist sexual abuse and violence services are sustained through a mix of statutory commissioning, grant funding, charitable income and other sources. These funding arrangements vary by area and by organisation, reflecting different local partnerships, commissioning structures and service models.

Charitable trusts, foundations and grant-makers provide important funding for specialist services across the partnership. This income can help sustain existing provision, develop new approaches and respond to areas of need that are not fully covered through commissioned funding.
Police and Crime Commissioner funding supports a range of specialist sexual abuse and violence services for victims and survivors within local areas. Across the partnership, this can include Independent Sexual Violence Advisor and advocacy services, therapeutic and counselling provision, referral coordination and wider wraparound services that provide specialist support for victims, survivors and their families.
Government funding, including Ministry of Justice programmes, contributes to specialist sexual abuse and violence provision through national funding streams, grants and commissioned services.
Local authorities contribute to specialist provision through commissioning and grant funding linked to local priorities, including safeguarding, prevention and services for victims and survivors.
Health funding supports specialist pathways linked to survivors’ physical and mental health needs. This can include NHS-commissioned services, ‘Talking Therapies’, therapeutic provision and other health-related pathways delivered across the partnership.
